Im planning on making a Shichibukai character and I want to know where to put it
I hate being the party-pooper and all, but I feel it should be addressed before you get in too deep with editing your character's page; as a community, we had agreed years ago to not create any active Shichibukai characters, because of how big a role they play into One Piece's story, and how we cannot change the canon plot and its characters. Shichibukai positions can be filled up and changed at a moment's notice as Oda continues creating more new chapters. As a result, should we have all 7 Shichibukai positions accounted for in One Piece at any time while we have our own Shichibukai character(s) on the wiki, then as a wiki, we would be breaking the "7 Shichibukai at a time" rule that Oda has set up. In order to fix that problem, the established character would need to go through some editing, which may cause unforeseen problems for the rest of the wiki if said character(s) are deeply rooted in collaborations with other users' characters. Worst case scenario, the character(s) may need to be deleted if we can't contact the original owner(s,) or if the owner(s) refuse to cooperate, which could cause similar issues by way of association wth other character(s) and other well-established wiki articles.
Long story short, there are way too many unfortunate, unforeseen, and complicated problems that may arise from allowing users to create their own active, on-duty Shichibukai. This goes for other important and limited titles as well, such as the three Admirals and the Yonkou. It is for these reasons why they are unallowed on Ship of Fools.
With that said however, there are certain loopholes you can take advantage of if you think things through carefully and take some time out for planning and preparation. With a proper, well thought out explanation, you can have it that your character is a former Shichibukai; allowing you to have a character with the reputation and credentials of a Shichibukai, without being a part of the organization and interfering with the story itself. After all, I've proven it can be done with Pyrite Liger. So if I can do it, then I'm sure anyone else can too, so long as they give their character's backstory some careful thought as they go along. Be aware however, that if you choose to go with this option, your character will not have any of the perks of being a Shichibukai, as they no longer possess the authority or title. They only have their reputation left. Likewise, while making a former Shichibukai, you should keep One Piece's canon in mind as your top priority.
At any time you make a decision as to how your character became a former Shichibukai, you should most likely ask yourself if this choice would go against what Oda has established in the story. If it does, then it's probably a good idea to try something else. And if you're unsure, feel free to ask around. I'm still active enough to provide my opinions and feedback as to what I know about One Piece trivia, or what could be considered "breaking canon" or not.
