Been a long while since I attempted to help around here, so I feel a little rusty. But darn it, I'd hate to leave you hanging here, so I'll try my best. Here goes...

1: Sadly, because we have to share the same fictional universe with each other on this wiki and the One Piece manga and anime itself, that means we have to follow the rules regarding Devil Fruits very strictly. Meaning that even if your power behaves differently from someone else's, it can't share the same name as that fruit. Compare the Kilo Kilo no Mi to the Ton Ton no Mi, which have similar powers but different names to keep them apart. So far, only Zoans share a similar naming pattern overall, like with the Inu Inu no Mi, but have different "models" mentioned after the name to show that each Zoan fruit/species is different.

2: Thankfully, there is no requirement to have pictures/photos/images/etc. on your page. You can leave it with text only if you want. The only reason people would ever add an image is to have some kind of cool, funny, cute or fun image associated with their character, ship, island and so on, or to help better display these concepts as they envisioned them. Basically, in short, don't worry about images. They're mostly added for fun or to help portray what someone or something should look like to readers.
