The Azarashi Azarashi no Mi, Model: Selkie is a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into a full or hybrid form of a Selkie; making the user a Selkie Human. This fruit has not been eaten recently though previous users have been noted.
"Azarashi" comes from the Japanese word for "seal" as in the animal. The English name of this fruit is the Seal-Seal Fruit, Model: Selkie.
Appearance
The fruit resembles a milky white drupe with wave like swirl marks around the body. The cedar colored stem has an end that splits outward; resembling flippers. In the middle is another stem that curls onto the main stem, making it look like a resting arm.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
The main ability this fruit grants the user is the ability to completely or partially transform into a mythical being called a selkie. When the user transforms into their full form, they become a relatively giant seal that is completely white. In the seal form, the user is able sponge hard blows and can hit with the power of a car. Unlike usual Devil Fruits, the user can somewhat tolerate the ocean and can swim for about 15 mins. until they begin to be effected by the ocean like other Devil Fruit users. The user is able to dive 600ft deep in the water and can withstand extremely cold temperatures.
As a mythical Zoan Devil fruit, the user gains a mythical ability related to their mythical transformation. For this Devil Fruit, the user is able to "shed" their seal form and become a enchanting being. The user in this state makes others become infatuated with them to the point that they will blindly follow any command given.
The skin can serve as a disgusting blanket for others to keep themselves warm even during the most extreme temperatures. The skin is stretchable, does not tear and is water proof. If the skin was destroyed, the user will be stuck in their enchanted form for 3 days which is how long the new skin is regrown.
Weaknesses
While the user is able make others infatuated with them, other types of people may have a different effect such as extreme jealousy or lust. This can potentially harm the user if they are not too careful with their powers. In their attractive form, the user does not have their usual tolerance for the sea and will feel the effects of the ocean quickly. This will not revert them to their original form, but it leaves them motionless.
By removing their skin, they are essentially making themselves susceptible to the outside elements. If the user spends too much time out of their skin, it is easy for them to catch a virus or disease and will worsen quickly over time. Enemies can use this as an advantage by hiding the skin somewhere and make the user wither away from bad health.
The user can be forcibly put back in their skin and it would take them a while before they can shed again.
The user suffers from standard weaknesses of Devil Fruit users.
