With his snobby attitude, and knowledge above most others, he believed he belonged in a royal family. So one day, when he saw his fellow orphan, Moka, leave to join a pirate crew, he thought that was the next best thing and decided to leave the foster home...

Chase is very quiet, but when he does talk, it's usually insulting to the person who hears. He thinks he's better than everyone else, but realizes that there's lots that he himself can't do due to his age. He fights a lot with his former fellow orphan and current crewmate, Moka Bond...

Chase doesn't really shine physically, but is agile and endurant. With his Devil Fruit Abilities, he's able to create another world made up of entirely electricity and atoms, a "virtual world", where he can make the rules. He's also experienced at hacking, after a few nighttime "field trips" to the nearby Marine Cargo Base, learning how to hack into a Pacifista in a few nights. He uses his "Virtual" abilities to give him a better advantage when he has to face a Pacifista head-on in order to hack it...
