Past[]

Birth and Early Life[]

Knave was born in the Calm Belt, in the vicinity of the Kuja empire, Amazon Lily. As an infant, he was first reared within a nest of Sea Kings, who, inexplicably, did not devour him. He was discovered by Artemisia, a member of the Kuja tribe on a hunting expedition, and who was baffled by the appearance of not only a male child, but one who had survived in such circumstances.

The child fell under her care from that day forth--at least, such care as she was able to give, only being familiar with raising female children. She did not often bring him to the Island of Women (女ヶ島 Nyōgashima?) (for obvious reasons), but after dressing him as a girl regularly for several years, would eventually bring him to her homeland for brief play dates with other children. Much to her relief, the young Knave took quickly to the warrior lifestyle.

Unfortunately, he rapidly approached the age in which his secondary sex characteristics would emerge, and hence would likely be discovered...
