Diarmuid is the musician of the RedClaw Pirates and former wanderer stand-alone musician. He turned to piracy after meeting and starting to admire Captain Macabre RedClaw, realising his music would be better spread through the world boarding a pirate ship. Due to his scar and the fact that he seems to seduce most of the women he meets, he was given the epithet "Diarmuid of the love scar".

He later in the series "settles down", after falling in love with Grainne of the Tides.

Appearance[]

Of average height and long blond hair in a pony tail, Diarmuid's most distinctive trait is his cross-shaped scar on his left cheek. He wears blue pants and a blue shirt with a green long cape and dark boots. He takes with him a case for his violin, for his guitar and for his flute.

Personality[]

He calls himself a tipycal gentleman, often treating complete strange women better than his male crewmates. His intentions over acting like that are actually trying to seduce these women. When he is alone with the male members of the crew, however, he does treat them like brothers.

Trivia[]

  • His name was inspired by the hero Diarmuid Ua Duibhne from the irish tale "The Pursuit of Diarmuid and Gráinne", a hero with the power of seducing all women he encounters thanks to a love mark given to him by the god of love. His epithet, Diarmuid of the Love Scar, was also inspired by the hero's epithet, Diarmuid of the Love Spot
    • That was also the reason why he was created at the same time as Grainne, as both were bound to share feelings towards each other
