At the Revolutionary Headquarters - Baltigo[]
It had been a month since Starfire joined the Revolutionary Army. She had gotten use to most of the people there. Some like the leader of the Army, Dragon and Nova the Blur. Others like Kuma or as she had nicked named him Paw man it was a little harder to get use to. She spent most of her time in the training hall. Since she had nothing else to do she wanted to be stronger for when she got her first mission. She was taking a break from training and having a chat with her sword.
Sword: I'm just saying you need to cool it down a bit. There's nothing here that wants to harm you.
Starfire Thinking: I know that but that doesn't mean the outside world doesn't want to harm me. I need to keep my guard up just in case though.
Sword: So your saying the poor kid that tapped your shoulder deserved the broken nose.
Starfire thinking: No I didn't mean to do that and you know it. I did say I was sorry after doesn't that count.
Sword: Oh yes I'm sorry I broke your nose please forgive me. He's still scared of you. Next time look before you punch.
Starfire thinking: Fine fine, Man your a pain.
Sword: And you are an idiot girl.
Starfire thinking: I need to get back to training.
Starfire got up from her seat and started to run around the training hall. Her sword sighed and figured she would tune him out. A tall and muscular man alongside a voluptuous women stood in the doorway watching her. They both smiled.
Phoenix: You know with all this training you could be socialising? We could teach you some new things?
Static: Tch. You look weak missy. Watch how a real man does it!!
Static then flew into the hallway and began to rub his cheek.
Nova: Where is this real man then?
Static: ITS ME YOU IDIOT!!!
Phoenix: You did kinda deserve that . . .
Static: SHUT UP!!!
At that moment Dragon appeared at the other entrance to the hallway. The second entrance was placed on the opposite side of the hallway. He smiled as he saw all four in the hallway.
Dragon: Ahh. Just the people I wanted to see. I need one of you three to take Starfire on her first missi~
Before he finished his sentence, a cloud shaped like Static and Phoenix stood in there place, both were seen running down the hallway.
Static: I AINT NO BABYSITTER!!!
Phoenix: Sorry but I'm more of a tomboy . . . not a teacher.
Nova was left next to Starfire with more of a 'what the hell just happened' expression on his face. Starfire shrugged and spoke.
Starfire: I don't really need a babysitter but if someone has to go with me I wouldn't mind Nova cause he's the only one that didn't run away like a chicken just now. Besides I'M NOT A TOMBOY STATIC. Man how many times must I tell him before he learns.
Nova shrugged.
Nova: Baka's don't learn I suppose?
A faint voice was heard in the background, as Nova, Starfire and Dragon stood silent.
Static: I'm not a bakaaaaaaa
Dragon: *Sigh*
Nova: *Sigh*
Starfire: *Sigh*
Dragon: Anyway. I would like you two to go on a small reconaissance task for me. A ship. Informant's tell me it's disguised as a navy ship but smuggles slaves. I need you both to check it out. If there are slaves. Free them.
Starfire's hands formed into fists as she tries not to let it bother her.
Starfire: Those idiots don't know when to quit. We'll do it's not right for them to treat others like that. I hate people like that.
Nova: What are the co-ordinates Senpai?
Starfire at first had no clue what Nova was talking about but then it hit her. She felt like a idiot for not realizing they needed to know where to go.
Starfire: I guess we need them to help the people become free.
Nova: *Facepalm* . . . You really are opening up here hehe.
Dragon: Hehheh.
Both of them looked at Starfire awaiting a response. Starfire's eye twitched from Nova's comment.
Starfire: This gives me a reason to kick some ass. And to show them not to mess with people that's all. And besides Baka Nova who would want to open up to you.
Dragon snickered as he watched the two have a cute bicker.
Nova: IM NOTA BAKA!!! Your just naive hehehe
Starfire blushed and then, turned away to hide the blush.
Starfire: I maybe naive but you will always be a idiot Nova. Now quit acting like a child so we can start the mission before it's to late.
Starfire turned back around after she was sure she wasn't blushing anymore. She couldn't quite meet the worlds most wanted man eyes as she asked.
Starfire: So how far is the ship that carrying them?
Dragon: hmm . . about two day's travel. I guess you two will be stuck alone until then.
Starfire and Nova: EH!?
Dragon: It seems so.
Starfire: Oh Joy I get stuck with the biggest idiot in the world for two days. If you try anything I swear you will have a very painful death. This is worse than hell. And that's saying something.
Nova: Oioi if anything you'll try stuff on me. So . . . uhh . . . I'm taken? Yeah . . Im uhh . . taken hehe
Starfire: I feel sorry for the women. She has to deal with you all the time. Fine lets just go and get this over with so we can go on with our lives and pretend nothing happened.
Nova: Ok ok I'm single still . . but don't get any ideas. We need a boat before we go as well baka.
Dragon: Such careless people hehe.
Starfire looks at Nova.
Starfire: I woulndn't be caught dead dating you Baka. Besides Your not my type and you would never be my type. I need to go pack so I'm ready for anything.
Nova: *sweatdrops*
Starfire leaves to pack her things, Nova turns to Dragon.
Nova: Is this for that . . .
Dragon: Yes.
Nova: I already said sorry.
Dragon: Go and pack your things. There is a boat waiting for you two.
Starfire however was trying to calm herself down before she blew up half her bed again. She liked having a bed thank you very much. Even though she would never be caught dead saying that out loud. After she packed her bags and got everything she would need she checked to make sure nothing was missing. After she was happy she headed towards the front door to wait for Nova.
Starfire: I hope that Baka Nova shows up soon. Hope we get there on time before it's to late. God what am I saying why do I care so much.
Sword: Because you can relate towards them in some way.
Starfire sighed because she knew her sword was right. No matter how tough she acted she was still a human on the inside even if most didn't see her as one. As she stood there she couldn't help think about everything that happened and thought finally she might get close to a answer she has been looking for. At that time Static appeared and gave her a playful Nuggy.
Static: GOTCHA!!!!
As Starfire tried to get out Static suddenly flew off of her once more, this time he rubbed his butt as Phoenix stood next to Starfire with her leg raised slightly, indicating that she had kicked Static.
Static: WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR!!!!
Nova then appeared on a small raft looking angrily at a snickering Dragon.
Nova: You idiot's should use a mop to clean the floor instead of your faces . . . . on second thought, scratch that it improves your faces.
Phoenix and Static: WHAT WAS THAT LIGHT HEAD!!!
Starfire: He's right it would improve both your faces. Well Baka lets get going as we don't got all day.
Heading out for the First Time.[]
Starfire jumped into the raft like it was nothing. She smiled as she smelled the sea air. It then set sail as the two sat facing away from one another, Static and Phoenix gave them both the finger and went back into the town. Dragon merely stood facing the east as the duo began there adventure.
Nova: You still remember what to do right? hehe.
Starfire rolled her eyes and decide to have a little fun.
Starfire: No I totally forgot what are we doing again?
Nova took an anime expression as the colour popped out of him and he fell to his knees looking down in the boat.
Nova: Whywhywhywhywhy!!!
Starfire couldn't take it anymore and started to laugh like she was crazy. The way he acted was just to good. After she calmed herself she looked at Nova with a grin on her face.
Starfire: Baka Nova I know what the mission is. We need to find the ship that is disguised as a navy ship and free the people on it. Why did you think I would forget something like that?
Nova froze as the colour jumped back in him, he then sat up and smiled cheekily while rubbing the back of his head.
Nova: Because I forgot myself . . . . . hehe
Starfire face palmed when he said that. She was starting to wonder who would be taking care of who during this mission.
Starfire: You are the most STUPIDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET. And that is saying something since the way I lived. Do you have ANY IDEA WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF NEITHER ONE OF US REMEMBERED WHAT WE NEED TO DO. It would be a world of TROUBLE YOU FREAKING IDIOT. Now that you know what we have to do set course to the Fake Navy ship Baka.
Nova then wiped his face trying to bug Starfire by indicating she spat as she yelled.
Nova: Gotcha! I didn't forget baka!! Anyway according to this we sail directly north. It will take two days to get to the docking point. So during that time. We will each take 6 hour shift's at night. One will stay awake and keep watch for sea king's and such. The other has a good sleep.
Starfire:You really are a Baka if you forgot I don't need much sleep. But that's not the point so I'll take the night watch and you take the day, works better for me since the night is better for me. But fine we will do it your way just don't come try to wake me up from behind like Phoenix did. I don't feel like fishing you out of the water.
Nova: Well, It's your call Star. All we can do is be patient while this boat sails to our destination. . . . . Read any good manga lately?
Starfire: No I haven't really read anything to busy training. Unless training books count then no. You?
Nova: I've read a few . . . Training hey? hehe, I remember when I used to train. Was fun.
Starfire: It doesn't matter how strong you are you always have to keep getting stronger. There's stronger enemies out there each day. And what the hell am I saying?
Nova: Hehe, when ya got my speed. Strength is nothing hehe. Relax Star. S'all good.
Starfire: Yeah until something comes and attacks us. Baka Nova relaxing in the middle of the sea gets you killed. Duh even I know that.
As she spoke the sillhouette of a few sea kings were seen below the small boat.
Nova: I wish. I could really do with some Sea King sushi right about now. Hmph
After he uttered those small word's the silhouette's vanished.
Starfire: Do you always think with your stomach? Man your worst then a child. Even most would know not everything is about food.
Nova: But Sea King sushi is sooooooooooo good!! Man . . . don't you ever think about eating?
Starfire looks at the sky.
Starfire: I ate this morning you didn't see me because you were to busy eating. I only think about eating when I need to not all the time like most people.
Nova: Now that's a very mean comment. I eat because it is a pleasure. A Luxury if you will, you will find that those who enjoy themselves while young have the hardest of journeys ahead. Tell me, do you plan on staying a revolutionary till you die? Following one cause for the rest of your life? Or do you plan on doing your part and then moving on?
Starfire: I don't know I might stay and help fight for freedom or go and do something else I doubt. It doesn't really matter to me how I live as long as I die being free I'm fine. And if someone's got a problem with that they can go to hell for all I care.
Nova: That's an interesting way of thinking. So freedom is your dream?
Starfire: It sure in the hell's not being caught by those idiots. I don't know if I want to add having freedom a dream or not.
Starfire sighs and looks at the sky.
Starfire: It would be nice to have it as a dream though maybe.
Nova: Hehehe. So you currently don't know your plan's for the future, would you like to learn mine?
Starfire: I figured you stay with Dragon until he took over. But sure go ahead and share.
Nova: My dream is simple. To be remembered. I plan on leaving after my 21st year of service to Dragon, and creating my own crew filled with veterans and friends! I plan on inspiring the young and impressing the old!! I plan to make a better history.
Starfire: So your going to be a pirate. Well since it's your dream I won't laugh. But you know you can't rewrite history. Just learn from it and hope to make a better tomorrow but no one will be able to rewrite it. Huh I guess I can say I would want to do that. Understand how the world came to be this way. To learn from the past. Ugh what am I saying now?
Nova: To say one cannot rewrite history is true, But I don't wish to rewrite it. I simply wish to make History!!
Starfire:Well have fun with that. Just don't go getting yourself killed doing so. I don't feel like seeing it in the paper.
Nova: Hehe, I don't plan on it!!
Stafire: If you ever do i'll bring you back just to kick your ass again got it. And no I don't like you either.
Nova: Again? You haven't kicked my arse in the first time hehe.
Starfire: What I mean by that if you get yourself killed. I will bring you back to life just to kick your ass got it?
Nova: Yeah I got it hehe.
Starfire: Good at least you understand what I said unlike some idiots.
Starfire looks around and notices it quite calm.
Starfire: You know it being this calm it's kinda boring.
Nova then stood up and looked down to her,
Nova: This is a raft! How about we have a little martial art's spar?
Starfire: With the end result is me fishing you out of the water. Well as long as we don't break the raft sure.
Starfire stood up as well.
Starfire: I just don't want to go fishing for Nova's is all. He he if I have to I'm never letting you live it down.
Nova: Hehe, Underestimating my skill's is a mistake.
He then poked his tongue at her as they began to spar, getting a fair amount of kicks, punches and blocking from one another. Starfire herself was blocking and punching.
Starfire: Just don't go falling in the sea. I didn't bring my fishing pole.
Nova: Hehe, Talking lead's to distraction, good thing I brought mine hehe.
Nova then legsweeped Starfire causing her to fall backwards, She looked down as she lost balance and began falling into the water. She then felt an arm around her waist and saw Nova stood in front of her.
Nova: However, If you were to be soaked then you would freeze at nightfall, hehe, can't have you wanting to hug me for warmth can we? hehe.
Starfire: You taught me a lesson I won't forget anytime soon. And no I don't want to hug nor anyone else.
Starfire gains her balance and looks away from Nova.
Starfire: I think we should save it for when we face the enemy. Don't want to get tired out easy.
A few hours later, nightfall began to approach them. Nova smiled as he looked at Starfire.
Nova: It will get cold during the darkness, Shine Shine Micro Sphere.
A small ball of hikaeons formed from Nova's hands and began floating above the center of the raft. It acted like a campfire providing a small amount of warmth to Starfire and Nova.
Starfire: You just love to show off. Who takes first watch?
Nova: You seem pretty tired. I'll take the first watch. hehe, and I was not showing off! Just keeping us warm...
Starfire yawned and rubbed her eyes.
Starfire: I'm not tired just need some air. You look like you could sleep before I could.
Starfire yawned again and shook her head trying to show she was not tired even if she was. Nova smiled and then stood up.
Nova: Ok, I bet you will fall asleep before me? hehe.
Starfire: Show off. At least I can wake up when trouble starts to happen.
Starfire's eyes closed as she started to breath evenly. Nova chuckle then yelled.
Nova: Aww come on that was only one time!!!
Starfire mumbles shut up and turns over. Nova smiles as he lays back with his hands over his head. He then looks of to the sky as the hikaeon sphere shrunk slightly. After a few hours Starfire starts to toss and turn. She mumbles words as she keeps tossing and turning.
Starfire sleep talks: no no get away I won't no
Her face looks to be in pain as she keeps mumbling those 7 words in her sleep. Nova looks at her, then he carefully lift's her into his arm's, then he begins to comfort her as she continues to mumble and then he uses his scarf to cover her and keep her warm.
Nova: Still having your nightmares eh? Well. All I can do is make her comfortable.
Starfire starts to calm down and soon her face looks peaceful and has a small smile on it as she grasps a hold of Nova's shirt not letting it go. Nova smirks and keeps an ear out as the hours pass. Starfire slowly woke up and opened her eyes to see Nova holding her and she tried not to smile but one slipped onto her face.
Starfire thinking: Maybe having a friend to chase away the nightmares isn't so bad after all. But will he keep this to himself though maybe I should ask him too.
Starfire: Thank you!
Nova smiled as he spoke gently to Starfire.
Nova: You don't need to thank me for comforting a friend during a nightmare.
He then fell back asleep, as a bucket filled with food and two flasks of water sat in front of Starfire. She looked around to notice it was half way through their second day of travel, Starfire couldn't believe it! She had slept for almost 18 hours!! Nova fell asleep with a big smile on his face. Starfire really wants to smack the smile off his face but sighs and shakes her head. She looks at the bucket and begins to eat. As she eats she wonders why she slept so long. She takes a drink from one of the flasks of water and eats a little more food from the bucket. She then notices it's half gone and decide to save the rest for later.
Starfire: You Baka what happened to the take turns doing the watch.
She sighs and shakes her head. But then she smiles.
Starfire: Thanks for letting me have a 18 hour rest anyways you Baka. I'll keep watch till we get there unless anything happens.
Starfire sits cross legged watching the waters for any sigh of trouble. A dark silhouette followed the raft underwater, as the waves grew slightly stronger, at one split moment a Sea King appeared beside the raft. It looked down at the duo licking it's lips. Starfire herself was thinking of ways to cook the sea king even though they are on a raft. She looked at the sea king and smiled.
Starfire: You think we're your next meal I don't think so. You would taste good cooked over a open fire.
Starfire smiled and licked her lips. She stood up and stepped over Nova making sure he would not be disturbed. She unsheathed her sword and attacked the sea king. The sea king fell backwards dead as Star sheathed her sword with a smile.
Starfire: To easy damn if only we weren't in the middle of the sea you would be so cooked right now.
The water shook slightly as the Sea King hit the water. The raft floated faster in their direction luckily. The dock's where in site, Nova shuffled a bit more and nearly fell into the water. Until Starfire managed to pull him back on. She sighed and was glad he didn't fall in.
Starfire: Finally we're almost there. Soon we'll have more ground to stand on.
Starfire looked over at Nova and smiled. She figured it was time to tell him they were getting close.
Starfire: Hey Nova the island's in sight.
Nova: Zzzz. . . wh-wha-what? Oh great!! 2 days already . . . . wow . . . hehe
Nova then went to roll over nearly falling in the water once more, however this time he used his power's to fly up, then falling back onto the raft. He laughed a bit as the raft hit the beach of the island. They were already a third of the way through their mission.
The Search.[]
Nova: Now we wait for the ship to dock. Are you prepared Starfire?
Starfire swallowed and smiled.
Starfire: Yeah I'm ready a little nervous but other then that I'm prepared. Are you prepared Baka Nova?
Nova smiled as he walked onto the beach with his hand's behind his head. He turned to Starfire with a cheeky expression on his face.
Nova: I was booooooooorn ready baaaaka. hehe.
Starfire followed after Nova with her arms crossed.
Starfire: You were born ready. Well that's good I guess. So when's the ship going to be here?
Nova then looked at his wrist as in to gesture he has an invisible watch, he then smiled and looked at Starfire.
Nova: Soon . . . .
He then began walking off toward's the dock's, Starfire sighs and follows Nova.
Starfire: Then we can save them and get those idiots. After that we go back right?
Nova: Hmm, according to the timing, the ship will arrive at nightfall, meaning I can't be relied on for speed and such. It will just be our natural skills. Ok?
Starfire nods and smiles.
Starfire: Even the great blur is unable to do things in the dark. Don't worry I might not be as fast as you when there's light but when I need to i'll be there. Not backing down is my skill.
Nova: That's good, but I'm still quite fast hehe. So don't doubt my skill in the dark, just be prepared hehe.
Starfire: Yea Yea I get it Baka Nova. Don't worry I'll be prepared.
Nova: Good, I think there are a few shops in this town. Cloak up we can go for a meal or something.
With that Nova put a cloak on and hooded his head the cloak was pitch black. He then turned to Starfire who was pulling out her own cloak and put it on. Her cloak was midnight blue that could hide her in the dark if need be. She smiled as she pulled up her hood.
Starfire: I'm so glad he had this color. It was either this one or the purple one might wear it next time. So do you know a good place to eat here?
Nova: Nope, Anywhere that serves food is good enough for me hehe.
Starfire: So we should go looking for a place then. You could have said that before Baka.
Nova: I thought you would of been smart enough to figure that out . . . geeze . .
Starfire rolls her eyes as she holds herself back from punching Nova.
Starfire: Well Captain Baka all i was thinking about was kicking some ass. Food isn't high on my to do list duh we can eat later when it's all over but you think with your stomach so lets just find a place i think there's one close.
Nova: Y-you really think of me as a captain!? Well . . some did say I was born to lead hehe. Yeah I'm sure a restaurant is nearby!
Soon enough they came by a restaurant and sat inside. A waiter then came and served on them both, he turned to Starfire first, and smiled as both Starfire and Nova looked at the menu's, everything looked so expensive.
Waiter: Good afternoon!! What would you like miss uh~? . .
Nova: Mrs Sunshine. Right . . . h.. . u . . nn . . y?
Starfire: Sure I'll take some Hot Chocolate and Sea King Sushi please? And you captain Baka?
Nova: I'll have what she's having!!! hehe..
Starfire: Show off Baka. Well I guess we're both having the same thing.
Waiter: Right away Mrs. Sunshine and Mr.Baka.
The waiter walks away to give their order to the cook. Starfire hides her laughter and looks at Nova.
Starfire: So Mr.Baka how does it feel to have that name?
Nova: . . . . . . It no longer bother's me, I'm pretty sure you've called me it a thousand times since joining the revolutionaries. So I guess it no longer phases me. hehe..
Starfire: I guess that's true. If you ever tell anyone I was called Mrs. Sunshine lets just say I can think of many ways to ruining you.
Nova: If you stop calling me a baka then we will have a deal.
Starfire smiles. No way in hell was she going to stop calling him that. Even though Sunshine wasn't a name she wanted it was much better then the other ones she had.
Starfire: But if I did that I wouldn't be able to mess with you. Or would you like to be called Captain Moron?
Nova: At this rate I'd settle for Captain Underpant's.
Starfire: Well Captain Underpant's who's paying me or you?
Nova: . . . . Me . . but I think we should eat our food first sunshine hehe . .
At that split second, the waiter came back with two cups of hot cocoa, the two gestured a thanks with their eyes to the waiter as he smiled.
Waiter: Your food will be here momentarily Mr and Mrs Sunshine.
Both Nova and Starfire spat the cocoa over one another as they both turned their head's angrily at the waiter.
Nova and Starfire: EHHHHHHHHH!?!?!?!
Starfire: There's no way in hell I would be married to a Baka like him. Are you nuts or just plain stupid?
Nova: . . . I think it's cuz of the whole . . Mrs part . . we are not married, we are merely friends having some dinner. That is all.
Starfire: Yeah just two friends having a nice dinner well it was nice till you thought we was married. Ugh you couldn't get to me marry him even if you paid me.
Starfire crossed her arms with that. Nova laughed and mimicked her, he then began to stuff his face as the waiter slowly backed away from the duo. Starfire smiled and start to eat her meal as well.
Starfire: The waiter was fast to get away wasn't he? He he he sometimes I miss seeing that.
Nova: Kind of remind's me of Static and Phoenix. Haha.
Starfire: I know what you mean. They were even faster to get away.
Starfire laughed a little and took a drink of her hot cocoa.
Starfire: He he that was fun to watch.
Nova: Hmhm indeed it was hehe.
Starfire smiled and took another drink of her hot coco and ate some of the Sea King sushi.
Starfire: This is still a little weird. Eating raw Sea king. Still can't figure out which way I like better.
Nova smiled as he leaned backwards on his chair, taking another bite of the Sea King sushi.
Nova: Sea King sushi for the win!!
Starfire rolled her eyes and sighed.
Starfire: Well I'm just saying.
As the duo finished their meal and drinks, they left a few hundred beli on the table. The then vanished amongst the crowd as the waiter collected the due fee, and kept the change as his tip.
Nova: Righto, Nightfall is near. We should be heading to the docks now.
Starfire: So is there anything I should know about this Nightfall? Or should I just blast him away?
Nova burst out with laughter, he began rolling around as Starfire stared at him with a "I'm so gonna kill you" expression, He then stood up, wiped a tear from his eye and tapped Starfire on the back.
Nova: I meant nightfall as in the time of day? Not person hehe.
Starfire's eye twitched as she held back from punching Nova.
Starfire through clenched teeth: Next time just say night. There's no point to say nightfall as if it's a person you freaking Baka.
Nova squinted his eyes and acted with an annoyed and childish look on his face.
Nova: Nightfall sounded cooler though . .
Starfire sighed in annoyance then shook her head.
Starfire: No time to act like a child Nova. We have a mission to complete.
Nova: Ok ok . . . Let's go then.
Nova then continued through a small mud pathway through the forest, on their way to the docks. Starfire followed Nova deep in thought.
Starfire Thinking: Need to listen to Nova he's done this many times. If I don't want to screw this up need to listen to everything he says and not question anything. I can do this. It's easy right.
Starfire sighed and shook her head. It wasn't going to be easy no matter what anyone said. As she turned, she saw Nova lighting a rather large cannon aimed at the docks with a comically evil smile.
Starfire: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THAT BAKA!!!!
Nova: Blow up the docks . . . .
Starfire kicked nova in the face and quickly destroyed the cannon. Her face filled with a comical anger.
Starfire: WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU DO THAT!?!?
Nova: To see your reaction . . . hahahahaha classic..
Starfire: I'M AM SO GOING TO KILL YOU LATER. Do you think it's funny to blow up the Damn docks? What the hell is wrong with you you freaking Baka? Why did i think i should ever listen to you. YOUR NOT EVEN TAKING THIS SERIOUS YOU FREAKING BAKA!!
Nova: I was joking . . . . . heh heh.
Nova then grabbed Star's hand and dragged her into the bushes. She couldn't help but blush as he covered her mouth with one hand. The Slave ship had docked. Even though Star saw the slave ship she couldn't help but feel embarrassed having Nova holding her mouth. She looked at Nova and seen he's eyes had changed and was now serious.
Starfire Thinking: Damn one second he's joking around and the next he's all serious. Damn he's so hot. God what am I saying.
Star then mentally slapped herself. This was no time to start acting all girly girl. Her sword was laughing his head off. She sighed.
Starfire Whispers: What now? Do we attack or wait a few minutes?
Nova then let go of her and got into a crouching position.
Nova: Follow me, we'll sneak on board instead.
Starfire nodded and took a breath. It was time for the real mission to start and she didn't need to be acting all weird. She then got into a crouching position like Nova.
Starfire Whispers: I'll cover your back.
Nova smirked and ventured through the bushes toward's the docks. His head turned to Starfire.
Nova: Good . . Don't go checking out my ass though hehe.
Starfire's eye twitched.
Starfire: Don't you worry I won't. Your not that good looking you know.
Nova: Yeah I know hehe. . . Looks aren't everything you know . . .
Nova smiled and crawled down to the crates on the docks, there were several warehouses and numerous crates everywhere, there were only two ships at the dock. One of them was going to be the right ship, but the question was, which one?
The Plan.[]
Nova: There are two boats. One will most probably be a normal trade or pirate ship, the sail is unrecognisable so it's no one important I presume, but the main problem is which ship, one has a clear sail but that would be too obvious, while the other has a sort of jolly roger which would also be too obvious . . . Any clues?
He looked at Starfire with an interested glint in his eye, Starfire rolled her eyes.' They were making it harder then she thought but she would never say that.
Starfire: The only way to find any clues is to split up and search both boats. From the outside they both look like normal boats. But on one there's normal cargo while the other has the slaves. If we're going to save them we might as well get to it before it's to late.
Starfire then looks back at the boats. They could just blow them both up but that would kill the slaves and everyone else on the boats. Besides, they were there to free them not kill them. Nova nodded and spoke with his once more serious tone.
Nova: I see, that would be the best choice. You pass the first part!! Now . . . let's divide and conquer, I'll go left and you go right.
Starfire: Fine but don't think. . . . Never mind lets just get this over with.
Starfire then starts to sneak to the boat on the right. Her feet barely touching the ground as she made her way to the boat. She tries to hide the creepy smile that is forming on her face. It was time for the real mission to begin. Quieter then a mouse Starfire sneaks on board the ship. As Nova started with a more direct approach, walking onto the ship acting casually. He sat down on the deck and looked at the sky.
Nova's Thoughts: Thanks to Kenbunshoku Haki, I know this is the wrong ship and Starfire's is the correct one. I hope Dragon is right. She should be ok with taking on the enemy . . . it should only be one or two mercenaries from my information. . . . Best contact the Revolutionaries to deal with the collars. . . .
He stared off into the sky as Starfire had entered where the slaves was being held. Once her eyes adjusted to the dim lighting she had to stop herself from cursing up a storm. From what she could see there was at least 25 to 30 slaves. All of them having some type of collar around their necks. Their hands and feet also had chains on them. Most were in nothing but rags. Others looked like they had nothing on at all. A few looked like they had gotten a beating in the last day or so. Some of them muttered words that sounded like "Yes Master right away Master". Starfire's blood was boiling. She had to bite her lip from doing anything to stupid. She was about to go looking when heard a few slaves talk. One looked like a 9 year old boy that only had on a pair of raged shorts. He too looked like he gotten a beating in the last few days. The other looked slave looked to be a girl around Star's age. She looked like she had no clothes on and looked like she got more then a few beatings in the last day or so. The boy was softly crying trying not to cry to loud for them to hear.
? whispers while crying : We're never going to be free.
?? whispers while trying to calm the boy down: Don't say that. Never say that. You never know what will happen. The only thing we can do is wait and hope the day will come. No matter what happens to me you will stay safe.
Discovered?! Already!?[]
The boy nodded and finally calmed down. The girl sighed as the boy fell asleep next to her. Starfire could not believe what just happened. Sure there was a lot of strong willed slaves but they were all broke one way or another. But that girl, her voice didn't sound broken. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard someone from behind her breathing. Three large men stood behind her, one wielded a whip and was immensely fat, he had a ball shaped head and wore the typical pirate attire, whilst the other two bore scimitars and wore bandannas on their head's, each one was yellow checkered. They stood with evil smirk's as their number's doubled within a matter of seconds.
Slave Hunter 1: Well well well... Come to hand yourself in as a slave eh pretty lady??
He licked his lips fiendishly as he stared at Starfire with an ill intent. Starfire started to mentally kick herself for not staying focused. She also was thinking of very evil ways to get Nova back for tricking her. She then calmed herself from lashing out and closed her eyes.
Starfire: Turn myself in? You must be joking.
Starfire then turned to the slave hunters while opening her eyes. They were starting to change from Midnight black to purple. She then smirked thinking to herself. This was going to be fun.
Starfire: I really do hate jokes. And if you think I'm going to be scared by your numbers. Well lets just say I've dealt with bigger crowds then this.
Slave Hunter 7: Heh heh. . . . It will be fun playing with you pretty lady.
The slave hunter's began drawing their guns and swords, as they evilly grinned at Starfire. Very perverted thoughts were running through each one's mind. Sometimes Starfire felt like it was a curse to be able to hear other thoughts. And right now with each perverted thought Starfire was getting more and more pissed. She grips her sword while glaring daggers at the slave hunters as the air starts to feel like it's getting colder.
Starfire through her teeth: You all really want to die today. Don't you? Thinking those thoughts will get you killed.
With that said Starfire brought out her sword and started to cut the Slave hunters. With each one her blood lust grew little by little. A few of the slave hunters started to get scared seeing their fellow hunters falling to the ground like it was nothing.
Slave Hunter 2: W-what should w-we do? It's like she's enjoying t-this.
Slave Hunter 4: That things n-not human. T-that's a Demon.
Starfire ignores them and keeps fighting. By now most had gotten over the shock and now are trying to bring her down with little effort. Starfire herself keeps fighting not growing tired at all. She then hears a thought stronger then the screams from the Slave Hunters. The thought is clear.
Slave girl thinking while biting her lip: Thank you so much. Thank you for proving I was right.
Starfire shakes her head to clear that thought out of her mind. Having someone thank her was not something she was use to but it wasn't going to stop her there. It did make her feel a little better being able to help someone without being judge by them. Suddenly, she felt a jolt as one of the bigger, fatter Slave Hunter's grabbed her by the shoulder's. Wrapping his arm's around her and somewhat ceasing her from moving onward, she was filled with shock at first as she used her leg's to fight on, the slave hunter's were both angry and yet, in awe at her resilience.
Head Slave Hunter: USE YOUR GUNS!!!! Sword's will only get you cut down!!
As the Slave hunter shrieked those words, his fellow members started to draw their gun's in hope of quelling her spirit, Starfire didn't even blink seeing the guns. Really they was trying to scare her with guns. Yea these idiots didn't know who they was fighting but she didn't care as she kept on fighting not slowing down in the slightest seeing the guns. It seemed that her blood lust had grown. The hunters start to fire their guns at Starfire. Some of the bullets bounce off her sword and go into the wood. Others barely miss her. A few Hunters aimed right and hit her in her left arm right leg and right shoulder. Starfire bites her lip but doesn't slow down. One bullet glazed her cheek making it bleed. The blood drips down and as it does so Starfire licks the blood and then grins evilly at the hunters.
Slave hunter3: W-what in the hell? T-that thing's a d-demon.
It was true as he spoke that Starfire's body started going into Full Demon Mode. The hunters could feel the blackness from her as black aura started to form a full body armor. Black wings formed on her back as well as 3 inched nails formed on her nails. When it was all done Starfire was no longer there in mind. Only a blood lust demon. The eyes opened and they are blood red. When her voice spoke it sounded deep and almost deathlike.
Demon Starfire: Finally my turn. Hope your all ready to die.
Some swallowed their fear they was feeling. Others were trying to get away. Even the head slave hunter wasn't looking to good. But Demon Star would have none of that. Her laugh sent chills down the hunters spines. She then started to attack using her claws. The hunters tried to beg, plead and cry but it seemed to excite her more. They then tried to shoot her down but the bullets either bounced off or miss. The swords did little good as well breaking on her demon armor. She made short work of the slave hunters. Leaving only a few dead while the others half dead. She's standing in the middle of the bodies as she brings one of her claw hands to her face licking the blood of the nails before looking down at the half dead slave hunters.
Demon Starfire: Weak that is what you are.
She then kicks one of the slave hunters before hearing a sniff. She turns her head towards the slaves and they freeze in fear. Her Psycho grin grows bigger
Demon Starfire: My next prey.
Demon Star starts to walk over the bodies towards the slaves, Her claw hands twitching with excitement. Licking her lips as the blood lust aura filled the room. The slaves are scared out of their minds. Even the slave girl is scared some. As the Slaves started to back away from the bar's of their cells, they couldn't help but be struck with fear as they became cornered by the walls of the ship. The only thing stopping their imminent death's were the cells bars.
Nova: *twitches as he sees a vision of the slaves dead on the ground and Starfire demonically stood over them* . . . Dammit.
Nova is seen on the other boat holding a stopwatch in the palm of his hand. Nova then disappeared with a flash as he used the very last of his hikaeon energy. As Starfire kept walking towards the cell bars. She brings her claws close to her face as the blood drips from them. The slaves shiver in fear as they try to make themselves as small as possible. Demon Starfire stopped in front of the cell and licks her lips.
Demon Starfire: Is my prey scared?
Starfire' laughed psychotically as they cowered in fear. Taunting her prey as she smirked. She brought her claws over the cell bars and made short work out of them. The bars fall to the floor as Demon Starfire steps in. Licking her claws once again as she stands a few feet away from the slaves. The slave girl also covers in fear seeing Demon Starfire so close.
Slave girl thinking: SOMEONE HELP US!!
What the slave girl thought was ignored by Demon Starfire as she started to bring her claws up ready to strike. As she suddenly brought them down, blood was spread across the ground.
Demon Starfire: . . . .
As everyone looked, Starfire had hit something. But not who she had intended.
????: *Huff* . . . *Huff* . . .
Her eyes drew wider in shock as she pulled her hand back, her mouth wide open and her body trembling.
????: You look so unhappy *Huff* You found the slaves *Huff* Good job . . . . .
It appeared then to be Nova who had in fact been hit by the claws, just a split second before Starfire could kill the innocent slave girl. Nova smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her close to him and tightly. A trickle of blood fell from his lip as his shoulders also leaked blood.
A Shocking Result!![]
Nova: Calm yourself. Your a revolutionary, not a monster.
He turned his head slightly to the slaves, still holding tightly to Starfire.
Nova: Your free now. Hurry and go. There are people outside waiting to deal with your slave collars.
The slave girl swallows and then nods.
Slave girl: T-thank y-you Sir.
The other slaves either bow or say thank you as they all start to move out of the cell. The slave girl helped some and soon all the slaves were gone.Only Starfire and Nova stood in the cell. Starfire was still in Full Demon mode but she had gain back in control. The scene of what just happened played in her mind as she stood there being hugged by Nova.
Starfire: N-nova.......... You?
Starfire couldn't form any words. She was to shocked of what Nova did.
Nova: Come back Sunshine. . . heh . . . Your not the monster you claim to be. . . heh . . . your just like me . . . heh. . . .
Starfire's eyes widened bigger. Slowly she started to change back to her normal self. It had started with her feet and slowly worked it's way up. Starfire could do little as her legs started to feel like lead. She didn't even try to move as the last of the Demon mode left returning her eyes back to blackish purple. Her hair was a darker black almost red. 'It would stay that way for a little while.
Starfire: Nova..... Why? Why did... Why didn't.... You............
Starfire was torn apart. Tears were falling from her eyes. She didn't understand why he got in the way. Without fighting even. A pain filled her but it wasn't from the wounds. Guilt filled her. Nova sighed and wiped the tears from her face with his thumb, he placed her arm around his shoulder as he pulled the claws from his wound. He then started walking forward, carrying most of her weight with him.
Nova: It's fine, I'll live . . . Just be happy we saved the slaves. This is a small sacrifice for their lives back. . . we completed our mission . . . . let's head home Sunshine.
He smiled as they both got to the deck of the ship, seeing the moonlight hit them on the face. Starfire's claw hand turned back to normal. She looked at it seeing Nova's blood dripping off her hand. She felt sick with herself. Besides Dragon, Kuma, Ivankov and a few others. Nova didn't cover in fear every time he looked or talked to her. She felt lower then dirt. Even if she wanted to call him baka. There would be nothing to the word. She hated herself for what she done. 'Even with the moon light hitting them. Starfire felt no peace.
Nova: You should not feel hatred for your acts. As it soon leads to anger and despair and then you will lead into doing stupid things.
He smiled as he pulled her head to his heart, making sure she could hear it beating he smiled and looked at the moon.
Nova: As long as the sun shall shine, I'll live. If you can still hear this beating. I'll live. I'm stronger than this. And it was my own decision cheer up and celebrate a job well done!
Starfire wants to pull her head away. But she has little strength to do so. As Nova's heart keeps beating it acts like a sweet song. One that seems to calm Starfire's rage towards herself. A few questions nags at her though. Even with the sweet song from his beating heart. Starfire can't let those questions go unanswered any longer.
Starfire whispers: Why did you not attack? Why do you care so much for a demon? Why did you not kill me?
Nova whispers: Because you have a heart that beats as strongly as this one. I wanted to show you your not alone. Because your my friend Sunshine. And I take care of my friends no matter what I will keep them from the darkness.
Starfire whispers: The darkness has already gotten me. I don't think even your light could reach me there...
Starfire would never say it out loud but she really hated being consumed by the darkness. Nova simply placed his hand on the centre of her chest and felt her heart beat.
Nova: You wrong. As long as this beat's...
He wiped her tear with the thumb of his other hand.
Nova: As long as these flow when your sad. . . . Darkness will never consume you.
Starfire bites her lip as more tears fall freely from her eyes. She couldn't even remember the last time she cried after being that monster. While trying to keep from passing out on Nova. Starfire looked at the moon and wondered if he was right. Does crying and a beating heart prove the darkness hasn't won. And if so how could she keep from letting it win.
Starfire barely whispers: Thank you Nov-
Before she could finish saying 'Nova', Starifre passed out. Nova then lifted her onto his shoulder and walked off the ship.
Nova: There there. Rest easy Sunshine, you just finished your first mission. Congratulations. heh heh...
Starfire growls a bit in her sleep state.
Starfire mutters in sleep: Quiet moron.
Nova smirked.
Nova: Cruel even in your sleep . . .that's new.
Two Weeks Later, Back at Baltigo.[]
Starfire awoke to see that she was laying in a bed once more. She looked around to see Nova lounged out asleep on a couch to the side of the room. She rubbed her face trying to remember what had happened to land her back in bed. As her mind became less fuzzy she bacame aware of what had happened on her first mission. She took her hands away from her face and for a split second it seems like she sees his blood on her hands once more. Starfire gripped the blankey covering her up. She then throws it off and swings her legs over the side of the bed and stuggles to stand. Starfire feels like the room is closing in on her. As she makes her way towards the door she can hear her heart pounding in her ears.
Starfire mutters: Damn room closing in. Why is the damn room closing in.
Nova: Because your hallucinating...
Starfire: What do you mean?
Nova: Your mind entered a state of shock . . . and because im in the room. I can see you right now.
Starfire halts, all of a sudden she can't move. She's stuck as she looks to see her shoulder in stone along with her feet.
Starfire: N-nova I can't move . . .
Nova: Yes... you can.
Starfire: No I can't. . . look my shoulder is bloody stone!
Nova: No... it's not.
Starfire: Yes. it is! Look at it!
Nova sighed and gently said.
Nova: Sorry.
To her dismay, he then bit her shoulder, tenderly but enough to give her a jolt of pain. Suddenly the room widened back out and she wasn't part stone. However, she was pissed.
Starfire: Ouch! What are those? Fangs?!
Nova: Well treated teeth . . . .
Starfire's eye twitched.
Starfire: Well treated teeth my ass. You think i'll fall for something stupid like that?
Nova sighed as he sat Starfire on her bed, his hands on her shoulders, as he spoke softly.
Nova: You've only just recovered, get some rest. . . .
Starfire's eye twitched again. The only reason she had not ran away was because Nova having his hands on her shoulders. Starfire wanted to get as far away as possable. She wasn't going to be able to rest with everything going through her mind.
Starfire: You really are a baka. You think I should rest after everything that happened. I don't need to rest. I need to get the hell away.
Nova sighed once more and walked over to the door. He then placed his wrist on the handle of his blade, as if he were leaning on it. He looked directly at her and spoke sharply.
Nova: Okay then. We shall make a deal, if you can beat me in a simple spar. You can leave, if not you start listening to me. K?
Starfire used the bed to stand up. Even though she still hurt she was itching to get away. She smirked as got in a somewhat messy fighting stance.
Starfire: Fine lets see what you can do. If you win I'll listen. If you lose I walk out of this damn room and go train.
Nova sighed once more and walked out, heading down the hallway he gestured for Starfire to follow. As she struggled to follow they ended up in a large training hall. Nova stood at the far end whilst Starfire just walked through the door.
Nova: You still haven't learned the most important lesson of all.
Starfire took a few steps inside the training hall and growled to hide the pain. She then pants a few times to get her breath back.
Starfire: And what lesson is that, Mister I think I know everything?
Nova appeared beside her in a flash, whispering in her ear.
Nova: If you don't learn by the end of this. Only then will I tell you.
He then disappeared and reappeared on the benches to the side of the room. Yawning he looked at her with a tired expression.
Nova: Im too tired to do this quickly. So you'll have to beat those guys before I finish this.
Starfire: What guys baka? Isn't this ment to be one on one?! Tch. Doesn't matter. I could kick 1000 asses right now!
Starfire looked around her to see several Nova's in boxing stances, each of them focusing on her. Inward though she didn't know how much of a chance she had. However she wasn't going to let up now.
Starfire: Kicking your ass? Several times? Hehe. You just made it so much better!!
As the clones ran at her with their fist's raised, Starfire placed her hand on her blade. As she unsheathed it, a large slice was sent at the approaching Nova's, though the majority of them jumped, the other two attempted to duck but were clotheslined by Starfire. As they thudded to the ground they dispersed into the air. The several Nova's however that were in the air, managed to get behind, beside and in front of her. Surrounding her.
Nova: You should be aware of all your opponents. Not just target a select few. Use their attacks to your advantage, counter it and build your momentum.
Starfire: Tch. Baka.
With that, three of the nova's ran at her in a triangle like formation that she was in the center of. As the one in front of her threw their fist, she ducked and uppercutted him with ease, only to get the back of her leg's speared. Flipping her, as she went upside down, the third nova clone clotheslined her neck causing her to flip several times before landing on her stomach. The clone she uppercutted faded away, leaving only 7 more. The two that had hit her took each other's position in the circle surrounding her. Starfire coughed a bit of blood up before growling. Getting to her knees Starfire had small flashs with Nova holding her and her unclaw hand having his blood on it. Starfire shook her head to get the images out.
Starfire: You should be aware as well Baka.
Starfire then gripped her sword and swung it at the cloned Nova's. Chopping one in half causing it to fade away. The other six all leaped at her in different stances, preparing attacks. This time Starfire chose to listen to Nova and focused on them all. As everything began to slow down Starfire quickly thought out her plan. As the first of the six Nova clones punched towards her, she grabbed his forearm and threw him around to the behind of her, hitting two of the Nova clones. The other three were even closer as the two of them went to deliver kicks, one attempting a roundhouse kick to her head, the other a leg sweep. As they did she jumped slightly and span horizontally in the air dodging the attacks. Though as there feet slowly passed her spinning body, she grabbed the roundhouse kicking Nova by the foot with all her might span him around aswell and slammed him to the ground. The leg sweeping Nova attempted to follow up with a roundhouse kick, but his foot was caught by Starfire. As she caught it, she thrusted her palm at his throat and let go of his foot with her other hand. He then blasted off into a wall. And the five clones then faded.
Nova: (to himself) Heh. At least she's learnt to actually take advice...
The final Nova clone went to headbutt her, but as he did she caught his head inbetween her thighs and span around in a handstand form. Slamming him headfirst into the floor. Creating a large crack. She smiled, wiped a drizzle of blood from her lips and stared at Nova.
Starfire: Tch. Easy. I could do this all day.
Nova sighed as he slowly started approaching her. He slowly placed his hand on the hilt of his blade.
Nova: *sigh* The thing you still have not learned is...
As Starfire placed her hand on her blade once more, she blinked, only to reopen her eyes and see that Nova is no longer in front of her. But behind her. She felt a large slicing sensation as a small cut opened up on her stomach, leaking blood.
Nova: That sometimes. Your only hope. Is too surrender to the greater force. In order to understand it.
Starfire coughed up blood and fell to one knee as the cut grew larger and semi deep. Placing a hand on the wound Starfire looked at Nova with a murderous look in her eyes.
Starfire: Your s-saying my only hope is s-surrendering? Y-your stupid if y-you think im just going to b-bow to you. G-go rot hell w-would you.
Nova sighed and then released his grip on the hilt of his blade and turned around to face her. Slowly approaching her once more.
Nova: I do not expect you to bow. I expect you to value your life and the people who care for it. Throwing your life away will only send everyone you care about, back a step. And don't you even consider telling me you have no cares. As everyone values something. No matter what it is.
He grabbed her by the hand, raising her entire body so that they were eye level. Her feet just off the ground. Nova pulled his hand closer until their noses were touching. As he stared closely into her eyes he spoke feircely.
Nova: The lesson here. Is that not all battles can be won. But some must be lost in order to gain something. You will not learn anything without failures. They are what makes us human.
Starfire bit her lip but still somewhat glared at Nova. She was not going to let the tears fall no matter how much pain she was in.
Starfire: J-just s-shut up. D-don't you get it. I don't value life. Whats the point when tomorrow we c-could be dead. And w-what the hell can i learn by losing? Huh that I'm weak? That those b-bastards was right. That they made a failure. That that w-what the hell d-do you want f-from me.
Tears fell from her eyes as Starfire said the last bit. Failing at holding them back she didn't even stop them as they fell to the floor. Nova loosened his grip and she fell to the floor. He crouched down beside her.
Nova: You'll learn to value life as you meet new people. Losing does not make you weak. It opens a doorway to get stronger. You will learn when there are times to admit defeat and retreat. But you will also learn when sometimes the only way is too push forward. The thing I'm trying to show you is that just because you can't kick my ass now. Does not mean you won't be able to do so later. If this were a battlefield and you had chosen to continue fighting. I would have executed you straight away and continued my route. But if you were to surrender and show know intention of fighting me. I would leave you to your life. But I am not everyone. I will not take a life if it is not of the absolute necessity. Do you understand?
He wiped the tear from her eye and handed over half of a small sandwich from his pocket. He then chewed on the other half, smiled and swallowed. Closing his eyes he tilted his head back and spoke.
Nova: If you do not understand me. Then the battle is lost for me. I do not need to kill you nor should I hurt you. If you are too blind to open you eyes to see the world ahead of you. Then you will never truelly feel alive. But if you are willing to listen to me. Then accept defeat right now, eat the sandwich, go to bed and recouperate on your injury.
Starfire put the sandwich down on the ground and struggled to her feet. Picking up her sword she shelters it and uses it as a crutch. Starfire bit her lip and looked down.
Starfire: Fine i a-accept defeat. But no i won't rest. Not b-by laying in a bed. I j-just i just want damn it w-why should i t-tell you. Your not my father.
Starfire then started to limp/walk a few steps. She didn't want to rest all she wanted to do was look out the window. To get her thoughts in order. Although to her shock, she was no longer walking. She was in the arm's of Nova. Who held her in a cradle form in front of him with one arm and carried her sword with the other.
Nova: I may not be your father. But that does not mean I cannot act like your Big Brother. Oh... and did you forget our bet?
A third hand then elongated from his body and force fed her the sandwich. As he carried her towards the exit.
Nova: You haven't eaten in over two weeks. It's a wonder your still alive. If your not gunna rest in bed. Then you'll sit out the front and rest. You lost the bet, therefore your going to listen to me from now on. K?
As he got out of the building, he led her down just out of the door's way beside a wall and began treating her wounds. The air was fresh and the sky was clear.
Nova: You know... eventually I'll die.. so you'll need to find someone who'll protect you when I cannot. Or someone that can protect you as much as you'd protect them...
Starfire growled and coughed a bit of the sandwich out. After somewhat wiped her mouth she glared at Nova while he tended to her wounds.
Starfire: One i listen to you talk that was the bet. Two it doesn't matter if i haven't ate in two weeks i will live. Third I was planing to sit by a damn window you moron.
Starfire then growled again as her hands formed a fist. Even if she had to she would shout to get it across.

As she had finished yelling, Nova cut the bandage with his sharp hikaeon finger. Revealing that her wounds had been stitched back together. He then placed his finger between her eyes and smirked.
Nova: Did I ask you what you wanted? No. You don't always get what you want. And you never appreciate what you have until it's gone. Your wasting your words on me, and mine are wasted on you. Its an equivalent exchange. Like brother and sister. I didn't offer you a family. Nor have I given you one. I told you I will act like your brother. So shut up, grow up and stop blaming the world for the misdeeds of a single force.
A Revolutionary soldier then came out from the door. As Nova stood over Starfire.
Soldier: Nova-dono! Dragon has requested you leave for Bellow Island immediately.
Nova turned to the Revolutionary Soldier.
Nova: Oohh?
Soldier: He says your contact will be there but request's you leave as soon as you've finished your request to see Starfire.
Nova looked down to starfire, then back to the soldier and shrugged.
Nova: I'm done. See ya, Sunshine.
With that Nova patted Starfire on the head, winked at her and followed the Soldier down the pathway. Finally, he had left her alone. Starfire watched them go until she couldn't see them anymore. Once she could, she brought her knees closer to her chest and place her arms over them and hung her head.
Starfire whispers: I'm such a heartless b*tch. Even though I got away I'm still letting them rule me. Why am I letting those idiots keep ruling me.
Tears started to fall once again as Starfire sat there. Though this time they was tears of guilt. After a few minutes Starfire made her way to her feet and started to use the wall as a stepping stone. After a few minutes Starfire came to a little area and sat down just next to a empty leaved tree. As she sat there she seen different animals working together to survive. A small smile appeared and it was as if someone was showing her that family didn't have to be blood. However how each one helps each other. Starfire then looked up at the sky as the sun shined down on her.
Starfire: You are a pain. However maybe your right, Though I don't know if I want Baka as family or not seeing he isn't the brightest apple.
