Yamato is a famed Pirate Known as "The Demon of the sea" he is a half a Fishmen and Longarm Tribe member.He is feared throughout the world for his demon like physical abilities,senses and his ruthless personality in battle. Yamato is a former slave having been born into slavery by slave parents.He is the Captain of the Sea Demon Pirates.
He is also known for his reckless and rebellious actions, aswell as his challenging and defeating Captain Hina aswell as raiding many marine bases,and killing his slave owner.These acts, amongst other things, have given him his current bounty of 180,000,000 the government see him as a powerful threat due to his race.
He was force fed the Sakana Sakana no Mi, Model: Electric Eel in hopes of creating a super soldier to takedown the world government.
When Yamato was 16 he killed his slavemaster in a fit of rage and escaped.That began his long standing battle with the world government.
